Collection Information
From a large portfolio of works by Margaret (Daisy) George. The portfolio is monogrammed M.E.G. in gilt letters. There are works depicting locations in Westmorland including Crosby Ravensworth, Eden Grove in Bolton and Rowan Park near Haweswater. In addition there are works from Chilston in Kent, coastal scenes including Portishead and a large number of grand tour subjects. It seems that these works have always been stored in this closed portfolio and for this reason they are in pristine condition - almost appearing to be new.
