Description

A charmingly rustic 19th Century oil scene showing a young shepherd boy in a sheep skin cloak, resting on a rock with his faithful dog at his side. The painting is unsigned and presented in a fine early 20th Century reeded oak frame. On wood panel.

Condition

The panel has heavy discolouration and darkening and a large split to the upper right quadrant. There is a small hole to the panel at the centre of the top edge. Some deterioration to the paint across the surface.
