M. S. Jeffs - Fine Original 1817 Pen and Ink Drawing. Depicting two church towers. On the left is the octagonal tower of the church of St Peter & St Paul at Bishops Hull near Taunton. The tower on the right is that of St Mary Magdalene in Taunton. Drawn on grey paper, inscribed and dated twice Inscribed and dated. On wove. Condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration, a few minor foxing spots.

Collection Information

From an early 19th Century sketching album traditionally attributed to M S Jeffs. One of the drawings was pasted to a fragment of a calling card printed with that name. Drawings and watercolours are variously dated from 1810 to 1838.
