M. Corper - Late 19th Century Oil Resting by the River

Description

A turn-of-the-century mountain landscape with a pair of walkers resting to the left of the foreground. A shepherd and his flock can be seen further along the path. Signed to the lower-left edge. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

The canvas has been lined. There is stable craquelure across the painting and some slight abrasion to the surface at the lower-left corner. Inspection under UV light shows a very small area of retouching at the centre of the sky. Overall bright and in very good condition.
