M.C. Farmer - Late 19th Century Oil Ships off the Coast

Description

A coastal scene depicting a view of ships from a beach. Presented glazed in a gilt-effect wooden frame with a gilt-effect slip. Signed to the lower-left corner. The canvas stamp on the verso dates the painting to 1890-1910. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

There has been a repair to a small tear to the canvas at the centre of the right half that has been restored. There is some surface dirt, craquelure, and discolouration to the varnish.
