Description
A fine French pen and ink drawing by the artist Luger, of a fictional city council entitled 'Le Conseil Municipal de Brutidouche'. The scene depicts a table of various humorously drawn figures, with a dog, a chicken, and a map of France in the background. With an extensive French inscription to the reverse, partially illegible. Signed 'Luger' to the lower left corner. Signed and incsribed on the reverse. On wove.Condition
The drawing itself has some discolouration and the upper right corner has been lost, as shown. There is water damage and further markings to the mount and the inscription on the reverse. There is also a crease across the middle of the drawing where the mount card has split.
