Description

A fine early 20th Century drypoint etching showing the impressive island of Mont Saint Michel in Normandy. The artist has utilised the natural burr of the drypoint line work to give a textured movement to the architecture and foliage. The artist has signed and numbered in graphite to the lower edge. Due to the double plate line, this etching appears to be a later re-strike. The etching is presented in a simple black frame with a card mount. On wove.
