Description

Liu Haiming's striking woodblock depicts migratory swans pictured in mid-flight, with wings outstretched in graceful and varied stances. Chinese visual iconography presents the swan as a symbol of elegance and grace, qualities which Liu Haiming has perfectly encapsulated in his sensitive and expert knowledge of the woodblock medium. The print has been inscribed, signed, dated and editioned 21/50 in pencil to the lower edge, with an artist stamp visible to the lower left corner. On wove.

Condition

There are a number of large creases to the page, including a large crease across the left corner and right edge, as shown. With a minor tear to the lower left corner, a foxing spot to the upper right corner and light discolouration to the edges of the page. There are also pinhole marks to the corners of the page.
