Lewis Creighton was an artist, philosopher, astronomer, pilot and musician, who lived in Appleton-le-Moors, Yorkshire. He is known for painting landscapes with sheep always with their back turned to the viewer. His paintings are in the collection of Scarborough Museums and Gallery.
