Description
A quietly intimate still life depicting a wooden table adorned with a white vase of purple irises, a stack of worn books, and a ceramic plate leaning gently against the wall behind. To the right, a small framed silhouette portrait hangs on the wall, adding a personal touch to the composition. Soft natural light filters in from the right, casting warm shadows across the table's surface. The loose, confident brushwork and carefully balanced arrangement reflect a style reminiscent of the Bloomsbury School. Signed to the lower right. The painting is beautifully presented in a black rustic frame with a gilt slip. On board.Condition
Minor abrasion/ paint loss along the top edge of the board. No visible signs of restoration. The overall condition of the artwork is very good.
