Step back in time to the Napoleonic era and explore this colourful collection of military watercolours by French illustrator Max Leon Dux (c.1840–1930). In this body of work, Dux has captured a diverse glossary of French regiments to include hussars, chasseurs, dragoons, officers, colonels, carabiniers, cuirassiers and trumpeters, all showcasing their elaborate battle dress.
Almost all of the collection has been signed with Dux's unique atelier stamp, and a number have been inscribed in French with their regimental titles.
