Description

A beautiful George VI sampler, hand embroidered by Leah Young in 1827. Cases of the alphabet, birds and heart motifs have all been created from open stitch, cross stitch, and stem stitch techniques. Well-presented under glass in a black and gilt frame. On Jute.

Condition

Discolouration and staining visible to the jute. Otherwise in excellent condition for its age.
