Lawrence Jenkins was born in Sevenoaks, Kent in 1944.
Inspired by the teaching of David Hockney at Maidstone Art College, Lawrence spent his second year as a student at the Royal Academy Schools producing his first suit of etchings. He has continued to produce prints ever since.
In 1986 he bought an etching press to edition prints for himself and other artists. After teaching the postgraduate students at the Royal Academy Schools for 27 years he has a wealth of experience to pass on to other artists.
