Laurence Warden (1879-1953) was a little-known but accomplished watercolour artist born in Manchester. Laurence (sometimes Lawrence) went into the insurance business and was a manager of the Yorkshire Insurance Company. As an exhibitor, he showed at the Ferens Art Gallery, Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, the Royal Academy, and at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. He died in Bridlington, Yorkshire where he had lived for some years.
