A vibrant landscape featuring a derelict disused railway station. Presented in a green and yellow double mount and a wooden frame with a gilt-effect inner edge. Signed and dated to the lower-left edge. On board.Condition
There are some small marks and dents to the frame but overall in fine condition.

Artist Biography
Laurence Roche (b.1944) is an artist who was born at Goodwicke, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Roche studied at Swansea College of Art, 1962-1965 furthering his studies at Edinburgh College of Art 1965-1968. He trained as an art teacher in Edinburgh and then taught at schools in Reading and Cirencester before turning to full-time painting in 1979. A member of the Guild of Railway Artists, his subject matter embraces industrial scenes as well as landscapes and seascapes. In the early 1990s he was artist-in-residence at Allied Steel and Wire and examples of his work are held by Warwick University Art Collection and by the National Museum of Wales.
