Late 19th Century Watercolour - Needlework With Grandma
Description
A heartwarming interior scene in watercolour, showing a young girl sitting on a stool in front of the kitchen stove, working with great concentration on her needlework as her grandma sits behind her, watching her work with a gentle smile. The artist has signed indistinctly (possibly H. Bow) to the lower right which is hidden under the mount.
The painting is handsomely presented in a gilt frame with lozenge detailed molding, mount and glazing.
On wove.Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including minor discolouration. There is an abrasion to the paper at the lower left corner and a pin hole to the lower right. The frame is in fine condition.
