An ornate late 19th Century Louis XV Rococo style frame with laurel branch, foliage and floral ornate details and a swept rail.The frame has a rubbed back, aged effect gilt finish showing the gesso underneath. The measurements are: inner window 54cm x 74cm, rebate 47cm x 67cm, outer frame 71.5cm x 92cm.
In the frame is a print of a painting by Claude Monet that has been treated with a clear medium to give it a hand painted impasto effect.
There are no losses to the ornamentation and beyond the aged, rubbed back effect there are a few small scratches to the wood.
