A fine and decoration still life in oil, with a large piece of white coral, seashells and a starfish. In the 19th Century school, the artist has used a deep palette with subtle shadowing. Well-presented in a good gilt effect frame with gold slip, as shown. Unsigned. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
In very good condition for a picture of this age, with some minor surface discolouration. Inspection under UV light reveals some restoration. The frame has some losses to the edges, and some surface marks and scratches, as shown.
