Description

A lithograph with white body colour of Hopwell Hall, a country house near Ockbrook, Derbyshire. It was built in 1720 and owned by five generations of the Pares family from 1786 to 1921. The hall was demolished after a fire in 1957. Presented glazed in a cream washline mount and a Hogarth-style frame. Unsigned. There is a label on the verso which includes the name of the house. On wove.

Condition

There is some foxing and discolouration, including to the mount.
