A charming traditional Japanese woodblock showing a jovial old peddler with his sack, smiling at a group of mice in traditional Japanese jackets. An accomplished print with crisp lines and plenty of character in the figures faces, this piece gives an excellent picture of traditional Japanese garb of the 1800s. The print has been presented in an off white card mount and a gilt, bamboo effect frame. Unsigned. On laid.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration. There is a crease down the centre of the print/ The frame is in fine condition.
