A very fine example of a 19th Century French Rococo frame, with high relief foliate detailing, featuring scrolling acanthus leaf molding. The frame has excellent form and proportions with a delicately aged gilt finish. The frame is finished with its original glazing. There is a French printed ballroom scene in the frame, with a card mount.

Condition
The frame has tarnishing to the gilt, typical for its age. There are several hairline cracks to the molding, again typical for its age and these do not affect the frame's structural integrity. There is an area of restoration to the frame's molding at the lower-left corner.
