Description
An interesting and uncommon late 19th Century sketch journal, with 25 drawings of figures and portrait scenes, mostly in pen and ink with several in graphite. One of the drawings is dated 1864, and the album includes very fine character studies and humorous portraits. Brown cloth boards, 16mo, with gilt lettering 'Scrap Album'. No other inscriptions.Condition
In good condition overall. There are several pages that have been previously cut out. Wear to the spine and edges of the boards. Some adhesive discolouration to corners of the drawings. Light even discolouration of the pages, expected for paper of this age.
