A fine continental street scene dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The artist has captured a busy street, bustling with figures and street sellers. A large Cathedral dominates the skyline, with smaller town houses lining the street. Wonderfully presented in a fluted gilt frame with beading detail. Painted on canvas laid to board. Signed.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and craqueleure. With signs of surface dirt. Inspection under UV light reveals no sign of restoration. Minor marks to the frame.
