An impressively sized oil still life showing a elaborate display of Chrysanthemums in a variety of jewel tones. Apples and grapes rest at the foot of the vase in a never-ending string of trailing vines. The artist has signed and dated the composition to the lower left and the oil has been well presented in an off-white frame. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some craquelure to the surface and paint loss to the lower right corner. Inspection under UV light reveals minor overpainting to the canvas. There is some light wear and dirtying to painted frame.
