Collection Information

From a vivid collection of oil paintings by German artist Kurt Glauber (1886-1963), celebrating farm animals and rural life, a subject that held broad appeal among European artists of the period. Glauber's handling is distinctly impressionist, most evident in his use of directional, layered brushstrokes that build form with a compelling sense of depth. His passion and care for equine studies are particularly evident in these sensitive works.
