A delightful Meiji Era Japanese woodblock by the artist Kōno Bairei (1844-1895). This print is taken from a copy of his illustrated book 'Bairei's Painting Manual of One Hundred Birds', copies of which are held by the British Museum and Metropolitan Museum of Art. Bears signature. Well presented in a black metal frame. On paper.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age, including some light discolouration to the paper. Overall, the condition of the artwork is very good. The frame is in fine condition.
