Kevin Platt (b.1945) has captured the character and atmosphere of late 19th Century rural life in a Cornish town within this study of a harbour and dockyard buildings. Platts draughtsmanship of the composition and confident handling of the paint clearly shows his skill as a painter. Signed. On board.

Condition

Minor marks to the edges of the board. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration. Overall in fine condition.

Artist Biography

Kevin Platt was born in Manchester in 1945, and is the son of a keen amateur artist. He studied at Manchester College of Art, and eventually became a graphic designer in the advertisement industry. However, by the late 1960's he had moved to Cornwall with his family and started to pursue his painting career. Platt still resides in Cornwall today.
