Description

A very fine and detailed miniature painting in gouache by the artist Ken Taylor. The scene depicts a tawny owl on a tree branch. Signed to the lower right-hand corner. There is an artist's label on the reverse. The date is inscribed on the reverse. Presented in a double cream card mount and in an ornate gilt-effect frame. On black wove paper.

Condition

Painting in fine condition. Some foxing and marks to the mount. Small scuffs to the frame.

Ken Taylor (b.1939) is a self-taught artist, whose work has been sold worldwide and has many collectors. Taylor has exhibited and sold his work at several exhibitions including the Hilliard Society of Miniaturists and the Royal Academy, London.
