This hazy, atmospheric pastel work by Keith Roper (b.1946) depicts the view from York's historic city walls towards York Minster, with the Grand Hotel visible on the right-hand side. Signed and dated to the lower right. Well presented in a vintage gilt frame with ornate floral corners. On paper.Condition
Slight discolouration to the paper, however, overall the condition is good. Wear to the frame, including losses to the frame ornamentation in the upper left and lower right corners.

Artist Biography
Keith Roper (b.1946) was born in Fillingham, Lincolnshire, and studied painting and graphic design at the Lincolnshire College of Art and Design. He predominantly paints landscapes, especially of Lincoln and the surrounding countryside.
