An exquisite charcoal study of a lion from Kathleen Rumsey. Although we have no biographical information on the artist, it is clear from the superb detail and handling of the medium that Rumsey was a highly skilled draughtsman. Signed. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration and minor foxing. A cluster of pin marks are visible to the upper edges, and several minor 1cm tears appear at the edges of the paper, as well as a more significant 3cm tear. These do not effect the main image.
