Artist Biography
Painter and etcher Kathleen Caddick (b.1937) was born in Liverpool but raised in Buckinghamshire. After studying at High Wycombe College of Art, she worked as a graphic designer, lecturer and was an examiner for City & Guilds before she started to paint full-time in 1968. Caddick is best known for her etchings of trees, silhouetted against winter skies, snowscapes, distant hills and pale grasses. In 1958 Caddick held a solo show at Heal & Sons Mansard Gallery in London. Examples of her prints are in the collection of Worcester City Art Gallery. Her commissions include work for the National Trust and the Woodland Trust.
