Kate Delhanty RWA (1928-2020) was a painter, educated at Reading University, 1946-1949, from where she obtained a Diploma in Fine Art. She furthered her studies at the Slade School, 1949-1953. Delhanty later taught at Cheltenham Ladies College 1953-1961, and at Cheltenham School of Art, where she met and married Denys Delhanty. She was elected a member of the RWA in 1980 and is also a member of the Cheltenham Group and Fosseway Artists. Her work is in the collection of Cheltenham Art Gallery and she was born the daughter of artist Frank Ormrod.
