This watercolour depicts the doors of a large Venetian building from the water. The charming building shows signs of ageing and the once large wooden doors are now crumbling into the water below.
As an avid cat enthusiast, it is not surprising to see Collino has painted a cat with its fish dinner to the reverse of this watercolour. Unsigned.
