Description

A bold aquatint showing sheep grazing. The artist's use of monochromatic etching gives the scene a stormy brooding atmosphere with the dark silhouettes of the sheep in the foreground and the lighter skies towards the horizon. The artist has signed the lower right hand corner and There is a blind stamped seal on the lower left. The picture is presented in a smart, dark wood frame with gold piping. Signed. On wove.

Condition

The condition is typical for a picture of this age. Quite heavy discolouration to the print and mount. The frame is in fine condition with minor chipping to the corners and lower left hand edge.
