Signs of wear consistent with age. Inspection under UV light reveals minor restoration and overpainting. There is a historic patch repair to the canvas verso. Light impressions in the canvas caused by the reverse stretcher bars. There is some craquelure and light soiling to the surface. The gilt frame shows signs of wear including small moulding losses, stable cracking and small chips on all rails. The overall condition of the artwork is good.
