Joseph Charles Barrow (fl. 1789-1802). Joseph Barrow was an antique dealer working in London where he exhibited numerous landscapes and architectural views at the Royal Academy from 1789-1802 and in the 1790 and 1791 at the Society of Artists. He was a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries.

This picture came as part of a fascinating collection of 18th and 19th Century watercolours including pieces by Lady Julia Isabella Levina Gordon, best known as pupil of J.M.W. Turner, Thomas Girtin and David Cox. Also graphite drawings by ‘Norwich School’ artist James Stark , and further fine works by Edmund Thomas Parris, history painter to Queen Adelaide, Queen Consort of William IV, and J.C. Barrow.
