This charming 20th century seascape by the artist Jose Casanova (1933-1989) is completed in soft, impressionist brushstrokes and a delightful pastel palette that reflects the quiet serenity of the scene. The artist has expertly captured technicolour reflections dancing atop the water as the figures set off to sea. Signed to the lower right. Handsomely presented in a painted gilt frame with a canvas inner edge. On canvas on stretchers.
Condition
There is some light discolouration and ingrained dirt to the surface, however overall the artwork is in good condition. The frame shows signs of wear consistent with age, including light scuffing and dirtying to the canvas inner.
