Artist Biography
John Wolseley was born in Somerset , England. He studied art at Central St Martins School of Art between, the Byam Shaw School of Art, London and in Paris up until 1963. After extensively travelling Europe, he settled in Australia in 1976.
Wolseley's work has a strong focus on the natural world. Fascinated by botany, insects and the animal kingdom, he always incorporates nature into his work.
His work has been widely exhibited across Australia and the world. Group exhibitions include National Gallery of Australia, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney and the Australian Centre of Contemporary Art, Melbourne.
