An expressive mixed media study by the sculptor John W. Mills (1933-2023) depicting the actor and director Orson Welles. This is a rare preliminary sketch for a sculpture, as noted in the inscription beneath the artwork and on the backing of the frame verso. Signed and dated to the lower right. Well presented behind glass in a black frame. On paper.

Condition

Light discolouration to the paper. Some debris behind the glass. Light wear to the frame, including some scuffs, scratches and small indentations.
