Collection Information
John Teasdale (1848-1926). John Teasdale studied at the Newcastle School of Art under W.B. Scott and won a national scholarship to south Kensington. He later taught art in Belfast, Sherborne and Doncaster and lived in the north-east painting and drawing many local subjects. He also painted landscapes. Teasdale was the curator of the Shipley Collection in Gateshead. His work is in the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle.
