A fine and original 1746 map of Wiltshire, by the cartographer and surveyor John Rocque (c.1709-1762). The map includes the area around Bradford-on-Avon, Devizes, Marlborough, Malmesbury, Wootton Basset and Salisbury, among others. There is a label to the reverse from the Magna Gallery, Oxford, England. Well-presented in a dark frame with gilt detail, as shown. Unsigned and inscribed. On laid.

The condition is typical for a map of this age including some discolouration and surface dirt. There is very slight scuffing to the frame.
