A charming image of a farmer walking their sheep through the countryside with a dog by his side. The piece is by well-known 19th century artist, J. Langstaffe M.N.A. whose work often sells well at auction. Signed. On canvas on stretchers.

Condition

Several areas of paint loss and craquelure. Some previous attempts at restoration. Surface dirt on the image, gilt slip and frame. Areas of damage and scuffs to the slip.
