Artist Biography
John Kingsley Sutton was born in Essex n 1907. He was a Fireman Artist during World War II and appeared to be largely self-taught. For a time Sutton worked in illustration, designing the covers for magazines such as The Austin Magazine and Advocate. His illustration work, in particular, several poster designs are known to be part of the collection at the National Railway Museum.
