A humble 19th-century watercolour depicting a young mother breastfeeding her infant child. An older woman cares for two other young children as the faithful family dog lies at their feet. The original inscription is fixed to the reverse: "May 19th 1888 bought at Christies." Brangwyn's Studio label fixed to the reverse. Well presented in a gilt effect and wood frame with washline mount. On paper.

The condition is typical for a picture of this age, including some discolouration. There are some minor marks on the frame.
