A New York City painter and etcher, John Dorish received a BA degree in Humanities from Clarion University in 1970. In 1977, Dorish moved to New York to study printmaking techniques at the Art Students' League. Since that time, the artist has exhibited his work both in New York and elsewhere. In 1999, John Dorish received a major commission from the United States Tennis Association for three of his paintings to be permanently displayed in Flushing Meadows, New York. Today, the artist’s work is included in such collections as the New York Public Library.
