A handsome set of eleven early 20th Century lithographs after a famous series of paintings by the artist John Charles Maggs (1819-1896) depicting coaching inns in and around London. Each print depicts a bustling street scene with horses, coaches and a multitude of figures, as well as detailed architectural settings. All are titled to the lower edge, including 'Wych Street, Strand, Days of Hogarth', 'Gloucester Coffee House, Piccadilly' and 'The General Post Office, St Martin's LeGrand'.
Well-presented and uniformly framed in grey lacquer effect frames with gilt detail.
Unsigned and inscribed. On wove.All are in very good condition overall. Some light even surface discolouration, and one or two have some surface creases and closed tears, although these are hardly noticeable. The frames have only minor scuffing, as shown.
