Joan Lewis was a foundation student at the City Literary Institute, London from 1989-90, and obtained a Certificate in Fine Art at St Albans in 1993. Local to Bradford-on-Avon, she has exhibited widely, including exhibitions at Hertfordshire College of Art and Design, and Highgate Society Meeting Room, in the 1990s. She was an experimental printmaker, using the print medium to explore the anatomy of the human body, as well as mental, emotional and relationship themes.
