Artist Biography
Jean Young NEAC RBA was a modern British painter - she was a member of the New English Art Club and the Royal Society of British Artists. Born in London, Young studied at the Farnham School of Art under Otway McCanell. She later studied at the Royal Academy schools, where she was awarded prizes for her work. Her teachers included Walter Russell, Tom Monnington and FE Jackson. Young exhibited widely in the UK, including at the Royal Academy, in Bath and Canterbury.
