Artist Biography
Jean May Parsons was born in 1952. Parsons was a self-taught artist, living and working in the South Hams for most of her life. Jean worked mainly in acrylic and watercolour, reflecting her love of colour. Parsons said of her art, "colour is so exciting, when I open a tube of ‘Opera Rose’ or one of the many shades of blue I use I am always ready to get a new canvas on the go." Many of her works depict the Cornish coast, Mousehole harbour and the small fishing villages that run along the South of England.
