A vivid post-impressionistic oil by the Irish born artist James McLernon.The artist has skillfully combined figurative elements within the abstract, emphasising geometrical and distorted forms with expressive effect. The painting is signed to the lower left corner and is on thick card. There is a printed label affixed to the reverse with the artist's name and biographical information. Signed.Condition
Slight wear to the outermost edges and corners, otherwise in fine condition. Inspection under UV light reveals no restoration.

Artist Biography
Born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland in 1935, James McLernon studied at the Working Men's College in Camden Town. His works have been exhibited in various exhibitions in London. He died in Tunbridge Wells in 2012.
